About The Position

Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND is seeking a part time Culinary Assistant / Server / Dishwasher to work 7a-330p. Includes every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. The Culinary Assistant / Server / Dishwasher will wash dishes and provide meal service to residents/tenants under sanitary conditions and in a respectful, timely manner by communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to carry out the operations of the Nutrition and Culinary Services department. Essential Functions Offers and serves menu choices to residents in a cheerful and respectful manner. Follows portion control size standards. Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals as well as other assigned cleaning duties. Operates equipment in a proper, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner. Prepares various menu items as assigned by the Nutrition and Culinary Director (Coordinator) and/or Culinary Cook. Monitors daily menu items in order to verify that all necessary items are prepared and labeled. Stores leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards. Organizes and plans work schedule to meet times for serving. Operates dish machine according to directions. Pre-soaks and sorts dishes and utensils. Assists in accepting vendor deliveries and storing items in the proper areas.

  • Previous experience in food service is preferred, but not required.
