About The Position

The Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA) is seeking to hire a part-time Senior Associate, Campus Pantry Distribution, to support the operations of the Campus Pantry. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and equitable distribution of food and resources to University of Arizona students and community members. The Campus Pantry Distribution Senior Associate will oversee inventory management, assist with the coordination of student staff and volunteers, and maintain a welcoming, organized, and inclusive environment during distribution hours. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about serving others. Strong organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position. Requirements

  • High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Campus Pantry distributions at the main site, Health Sciences campus, and for food bag pick-up orders.
  • Ensure smooth setup, operation, and closing during distribution hours.
  • Serve as the primary site contact for distribution related questions and scheduling adjustments.
  • Act as the main point of contact for pantry users, addressing questions, concerns, and ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Support equitable access to resources and maintain a positive experience for all visitors.
  • Assist in coordinating student staff and volunteers during distribution events.
  • Communicate effectively regarding scheduling, duties, and distribution procedures.
  • Oversee setup, restocking, and organization of pantry supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure consistent availability of food and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with health code standards and food safety regulations.
  • Maintain an active Food Handler's certification through Pima County.
  • Support general safety, and operational standards within the pantry.
