What You'll Do: Prepare and/or portion food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu. Prepare and/or portion food using proper food handling and food safety techniques. Ensure that food is served in an attractive, appetizing manner. Utilize standardized recipes to prepare menu items. Ensure that meals and snacks are delivered to designated areas according to established time schedules. Maintain the proper temperature of food during preparation and service Serve meals/snacks accurately, in accordance with the planned menu, the resident’s diet order, and food preferences. Wash dishes, and other kitchen items according to established procedures for manual and/or automatic dishwashing. Ensure that dishes, and other needed items are readily available for the next meal. Perform all duties using proper safety techniques. Perform duties using proper infection control techniques, and according to established policies and procedures Record data and record keeping as required May perform additional duties as needed What We're Looking For: Knowledge of safe food preparation and handling techniques.
