About The Position

If you have a fundamental knowledge of and passion for the sport of basketball, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you as Basketball Official/Referee at various community centers in North Seattle. This is a seasonal part-time role estimated to begin December 2025. There are multiple opportunities to extend. ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. In this role, the Basketball Official/Referee at various Seattle community centers for the Cubs 2025-2026 basketball season will be officiating with accuracy and fairness, and facilitate a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants. Schedule: Fridays, typically 4:30-8pm Estimated Start Date: Trainings will take place starting early December Season begins January 2, 2026 and ends March 20, 2026

Requirements

  • Have fundamental knowledge of basketball and its rules
  • Experience working with kids
  • Must pass a criminal background check
