About The Position

The Therapeutic Intervention Senior Clinical Research Assistant at Oregon Health & Science University plays a crucial role in coordinating complex clinical research protocols for both adult and pediatric populations. This position involves collaboration with various departments and study teams to ensure the effective implementation of research protocols, management of data, and provision of quality clinical care for research subjects. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 1 year of relevant experience OR Associate's AND 3 years of relevant experience OR 4 years of relevant experience OR Equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain before job hire.
  • Focus in science-related fields such as biology or psychology.
  • Research experience preferred.
  • Previous experience conducting physical measurements and phlebotomy, and knowledge of protocol adherence.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • Certified Clinical Research Professional (SoCRA) or Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (ACRP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate complex adult and pediatric therapeutic interventional clinical research protocols and data management across multiple protocols.
  • Ensure implementation of therapeutic/interventional and other research protocols.
  • Facilitate and perform research activities for multiple ongoing CTRC and OCTRI supported research studies.
  • Assist investigators with the day-to-day functions and activities of studies occurring on the CTRC in various clinical research settings.
  • Promote a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to support quality research clinical care.
  • Ensure efficient workflow and adequate care and treatment of research subjects throughout the various stages of the study.
  • Collaborate with other OHSU departments to operationalize research protocols.
  • Maintain effective relationships and promote participant experience by facilitating communication with other staff and addressing participant needs.
  • Assist CTRC leadership to ensure appropriate and consistent protocol conduct, logistics, quality assurance, and participant safety.
  • Champion strong adherence to OHSU policies and protocol integrity in all activities.
  • Provide education/training and mentoring for other study staff.
