About The Position

A PayTech company operating a high-performance payment processing platform is currently seeking a CTO. By merging deep fintech expertise with a strong understanding of merchant needs, we create forward-thinking solutions that enable businesses to enter and grow in new markets. Our established product helps clients scale effectively while offering access to a broad range of domestic and global payment options.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role (CTO / Head of Engineering / Tech Director).
  • Background in fintech or high-risk verticals.
  • Strong track record in designing and scaling high-load platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with PHP, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS.
  • Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, caching, and messaging systems (MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ).
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strategic decision-making skills balancing technical and business needs.
  • Excellent leadership and people management abilities with a focus on culture.
  • English: Upper-Intermediate or above.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the company’s technology vision aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and expand the engineering function: recruitment, mentoring, and process building.
  • Guarantee platform scalability, resilience, and security.
  • Introduce architectural improvements and drive technical innovation.
  • Partner with product and commercial teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Mitigate risks associated with high-load systems and high-risk fintech environments.
  • Supervise software quality, CI/CD flows, monitoring systems, and incident response.
