About The Position
The CTO Commissioning Specialist at Konecranes plays a crucial role in providing technical and on-site support for the start-up and commissioning activities of Configure to Order (CTO) cranes across North America. This position is essential for ensuring that all commissioning processes are executed smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall customer experience that Konecranes prides itself on. The specialist will be involved in hands-on assistance to crane installers and service branches during site activities, ensuring that all electrical and mechanical systems are properly set up and functioning as intended. In addition to technical support, the CTO Commissioning Specialist will be responsible for training installation subcontractors and service technicians on various electrical and mechanical topics. This role requires excellent technical and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings. The specialist will also provide phone support to service and subcontractor resources during installation, startup, commissioning, and warranty activities, ensuring that any issues are resolved promptly. The position demands a high level of organization and the ability to manage a busy workload with multiple tasks. The CTO Commissioning Specialist will be expected to travel extensively throughout Canada and the US, with travel requirements reaching up to 80% of the time. This role not only requires technical expertise but also strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders. The CTO Technical Support position reports to the regional CTO Technical Support team, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving Konecranes' goals.
