About The Position

Lakeside High School is seeking a highly motivated and innovative educator to join our Career & Technical Education (CTE) team. This position is designed for a program builder who can either continue our Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) programs OR strengthen and/or expand other Career Pathways based on certification and experience. Current CTE Pathways: Accounting Banking & Finance Management Behavior & Mental Health Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management Pre-Educator Biomedical Sciences Engineering Sports Medicine Media Creation (Broadcasting) Criminal Justice Military Service & Security Data Analytics Information Technology Software Development Automotive Service Technology Construction Advanced Manufacturing Marine Repair Medical Professions Welding

Requirements

• Valid Arkansas teaching license in an approved CTE area (or ability to obtain licensure)
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to connect instruction to real-world applications

Nice To Haves

• Experience developing or expanding CTE programs (preferred)
• Willingness to sponsor or support student organizations (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in Family & Consumer Sciences and/or an aligned CTE pathway
• Develop and implement engaging, hands-on, career-focused lessons aligned to state standards
• Strengthen existing programs of study or develop new pathway opportunities
• Support students in completing a full CTE pathway sequence
• Build partnerships with local businesses, industry, and postsecondary institutions
• Utilize data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes
• Collaborate with staff to ensure alignment and program quality
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development
