Experience: Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in a healthcare environment (preference for direct clinical experience or combination of administrative and clinical). Prior teaching, mentoring or precepting experience is preferred but not required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Training & Development (0.25 FTE) Provide clinical and/or administrative support within assigned departments in alignment with Training and Development priorities. Support workforce development initiatives, including onboarding, skills training, and professional development programs. Serve as a subject matter expert, helping to align training content with current healthcare practices and workforce needs. Collaborate with leadership, educators, and clinical teams to support pipeline and apprenticeship programs and applicable rotations/observations. Maintain compliance with Sky Lakes policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. CTE Core Instructor (0.75 FTE): Teach healthcare-related courses to high-school students. Maintain certifications and professional practice in order to be dual-credit certified with local community college (acting as an adjunct). CTE Curriculum o Develop, plan, and implement curriculum for the assigned CTE courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and educational goals. Provide hands-on instruction, mentorship, and support to students to enhance their understanding of healthcare professions. Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and achievement. Collaborate with school staff to monitor student progress, implement assessments, and provide guidance on career exploration and development. Organize and facilitate career-focused events, such as internships, job shadowing opportunities, and guest speakers from the medical field. Must obtain CPR/Heartsaver Instructor certification within six (6) months of hire. Skills: o Strong communication and interpersonal skills. o Familiarity with MS Office tools such as power point, word, excel and an ability to work effectively in multiple online platforms for instruction (e.g., learning management systems such as canvas). o Ability to work effectively with both healthcare professionals and high school students. o A passion for teaching and mentoring students interested in healthcare careers. o Strong organizational and time management skills to balance both roles effectively. o Knowledge of CTE standards and educational practices for high school students is a plus. Flexibility to adjust schedules based on medical center and teaching needs. Proficiency with technology, including learning platforms and basic instructional tools. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods in both clinical and classroom settings. Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. in clinical environments. MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS: All other duties as assigned Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications, with separate pay structures for the medical center and teaching roles.
