Requirements

• High School Grad or Equivalent and 1 year experience.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support CPR Certification.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technician (RTCTARRT).
• Certified Radiographer (CR).

Responsibilities

• Participates in technical duties directly involved with the CT scanner and the Diagnostic Imaging.
• Develops, initiates, and monitors procedures for the effective utilization of the CT unit.
• Actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships.
• Maintains equipment by daily quality assurance.
• Sets up and adjusts equipment per protocol, radiologist, and/or procedure performance.
• Accepts patients and assesses their condition to determine proper handling and special requirements.
• Explains and prepares the patient for the exam requested.
• Assists in the administration of various chemical substances to render specific organs or systems opaquer.
• Reviews patient charts and requests with the radiologist to ensure proper examination and diagnostic results.
• Quality controls all images, maintains inventory, and adheres to safety regulations.
