About The Position

The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures including Computed Tomography (CT) and general radiographic exams in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. The technologist ensures high-quality images while maintaining patient comfort and safety, following all regulatory and departmental standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT (R) certification required.
  • ARRT (CT) preferred or must be obtained within 6–12 months of hire.
  • State Radiologic Technologist License (if applicable).
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in diagnostic radiology; CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT and X-ray imaging procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Verify patient identification and obtain relevant medical history prior to procedures.
  • Position patients and select appropriate technical factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required, following safety and allergy protocols.
  • Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and completeness before submission to radiologists.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the PACS/RIS systems.
  • Provide excellent patient care and maintain a professional, compassionate demeanor.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain current certifications and licensure.
