About The Position

Under the direction of a radiologist, performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to obtain a radiologic diagnosis.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Acute care experience preferred, although new graduates will be considered.
  • Preferably registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures.
  • Follow the principles and guidelines as set forth by the American College of Radiology.
  • Other duties as assigned.
