Requirements

  • Strong anatomy knowledge and image evaluation skills
  • Proficiency with CT and X‑ray equipment
  • Contrast protocol knowledge and emergency response readiness
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Clear, effective communication
  • Strong organizational and task‑prioritization skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) – Radiography Certification/Registration
  • Applicable state licensure (where required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

Nice To Haves

  • ARRT Computed Tomography Certification (ARRT)(CT)
  • Completion of controlled substance module (where applicable)
  • Completion of initial moderate sedation module (where applicable)
  • Facility‑specific certifications as required
  • 1+ year of CT experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT and X‑ray exams according to departmental protocols
  • Verify patient identity, orders, and prepare patients for imaging procedures
  • Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
  • Maintain radiation safety standards and a safe clinical environment
  • Document patient information, procedures, and any adverse reactions accurately
  • Provide compassionate patient education and ensure comfort throughout exams
  • Operate CT equipment and related imaging systems effectively
  • Support quality control processes and report equipment issues promptly
  • Assist with training and education of students or fellow technologists as needed
