About The Position

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) is the hospital of choice for many families in the Manatee-Sarasota region. LWRMC is conveniently located near I-75 and University Parkway in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The position of CT/X-Ray Technologist is part-time, requiring work three days per week with no call required. Under the direction of a radiologist, the technologist performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision. This role involves independent judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation to obtain a radiologic diagnosis.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Acute care experience preferred, although new graduates will be considered.
• Preferably registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures.
• Follows the principles and guidelines as set forth by the American College of Radiology.
• Other duties as assigned.
