About The Position

The successful candidate observes and works directly with a CT technologist to assist in performing medically prescribed CT procedures of designated anatomical areas, under the general direction of the radiologist and supervisor.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Currently enrolled and participating in a certificate program from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or a recent graduate of a radiology program from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology (up to one year post graduation).
Radiologic TechLic IV-Cert-NYS
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

Demonstrates knowledge of the HIS and RIS systems as they relate to radiology
Under direct supervision of a CT technologist, demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure
Under direct supervision of a CT technologist, assists in patent procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards
Effectively assesses patient’s information and status, and works directly with a CT technologist to follow appropriate procedures accordingly
Performs other duties as assigned
