About The Position

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a CT Technologist to join our team at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN! This is a .8 FTE (64 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday during the day shift (Thursday off). The CT Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Requirements

• ARRT Radiology Tech
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience in a related role
• Additional certifications in Imaging
• Previous ambulatory care experience
• Strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Performs excellent patient care
• Performs examinations
• Identifies relevant data from images accurately
• Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
• Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
• Verify patient identification and documentation
• Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
• Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
• Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
• Ensures patient data integrity
• Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures
• Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes
