About The Position

Performs computerized imaging, knowledge of all equipment and monitors. Assist patients and physicians as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
  • A minimum of one of the following license qualification/certification combinations:
  • License qualification/certification combination 1: FL DOH license qualification: General Radiographer or Radiologist Assistant Certification/registration: ARRT (R) Radiography AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography
  • License qualification/certification combination 2: FL DOH license qualification: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification/registration: ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Technology OR NMTCB, AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography
  • License qualification/certification combination 3: FL DOH license qualification: Radiation Therapy Technologist Certification/registration: ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography
  • License qualification/certification combination 4: FL DOH license qualification: General Radiographer, Radiologist Assistant, and Computed Tomography and Certification/registration: ARRT (R) Radiography AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography
  • 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist in a stroke accredited facility

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
  • 3 years of CT imaging experience

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of computer software and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to provide physical and/or psychological support to patients screening and patient limitations.
  • Registration of patient
  • IV placement and/or blood draw for POC testing
  • MSTU preparation for scan
  • Uploading and transmission of images to Visage
  • Utilizing Telemedicine system
  • Creating CD of images for patients transferring outside UF Health
  • Any other duties that can create efficiencies within the workflow
  • Utilize downtime as productively as possible
  • Participate in MSTU simulations and educational activities to promote teamwork and efficiency
  • Community outreach and education efforts to promote the MSTU program
  • Work cohesively with team to streamline and/or create efficiencies on the MSTU that improve stroke metrics and patient care
  • Stroke data entry
  • Knowledge of software and ability to troubleshoot
