Charlotte Radiology is opening a new freestanding Emergency Department in a joint venture with Atrium Health at the corner of Bruton Smith Blvd and Highway 29, Concord in April 2026! Come join the excitement! POSITION SUMMARY: Performs excellent patient care for all CT scan and x-rays. Quickly and accurately completes all paperwork to include orders, lab work and authorization confirmation. Monitoring the safety of patients pertaining to radiation and contrast dose.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT
• BLS
• 2 years of Radiology experience
• Must be able to perform procedures in accordance to the CR departmental protocols and standards.
• Operates CT scanners, X-ray equipment, IV contrast injectors O2 tanks.
• Computer literate and knowledgeable of CR programs
• Must be up to date with local and federal regulations that apply to their licensure and role
• Must be able to access all patient history to review any allergies that could interfere with the patient’s test
• Must be able to communicate with the Radiologist or referring MD if a protocol needs to be obtained or a test needs to be altered
• Must be able to report malfunctioning equipment to the Radiology engineer
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift the appropriate weight determined by CR (50-75 lbs.)
• Must have positive communication skills
• Performs basic patient care functions and informs the Radiologist or nurse of any change in the patient’s condition if needed
• Must be competent with IVs

Responsibilities

• Examines orders and verifies request on patients.
• Addresses any questionable orders to Radiologist before procedures.
• Operates CT equipment with proficiency.
• Operates Injector with proficiency
• Operate X-ray equipment with proficiency
• Paperwork/orders, email order request and authorization.
• Records medical history on designated history form.
• Correlates test results and other lab data with exam being performed
• Performs IVs, give patients oral contrast, do lab work if needed
• Monitor supplies/stock room
• Communicate with radiologist for protocols as needed
• Communicate with pacs/IT for imaging distribution if necessary
