This position is responsible for the performance of CT examinations, which include all aspects of chart review, patient care, technical performance, processing, and patient screening and maintain data logs. Demonstrates a complete knowledge and understanding of operating CT scan units and processing equipment. Demonstrate the ability to do minor trouble shooting. Perform all scanning functions in a quick and organized manner in order to keep within the time frame that patients are scheduled. Patient output should be equal to other CT staff. Recognizes when to use protocols and when to alter protocols based on the condition of the patient. Performs skillful administration of I.V. contrast and demonstrate knowledgeable use of pressure injectors. Demonstrates an adequate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy. Meet the minimal knowledge required to operate the Advantage Windows workstation. Demonstrates the ability to operate and load the laser processor and perform minor trouble shooting. Reviews patient record for accurate history, medical necessity and verification of order and document information 100% of the time. Complete all computer verification functions 100% of the time prior to end of shift. Assists the radiologist in performing biopsies and have all supplies and equipment readily available prior to procedure. Participate in maintaining adequate stock of supplies of both rooms at all times.
