Below, you’ll find other important information about this position. Performs diagnostic CT procedures within the CT Department utilizing specific equipment for that purpose. Rotates through diagnostic radiology as assigned. Involved in the practice of radiation and general safety at all times. Performs the duties and responsibilities within the scope of a Computed Tomography Technologist - Level I, as defined within the job description. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Radiography certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). 2. Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided: MD: Radiographer license through the Maryland Board of Physicians. OH: Radiographer license through the Ohio Board of Radiology PA: No state license is required WV: Radiography License OR Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board. 3. Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. 4. State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas. EXPERIENCE: 1. One (1) year of computed tomography experience. CAREER LADDER LEVEL REQUIREMENT: 1. Computed Tomography certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR actively working in multiple modalities.
