About The Position

At the direction of a radiologist operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment. Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines, prescribed protocols and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures. Reviews images; archives with associated patient data. Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients and visitors. Performs other duties as assigned. Why this job could be perfect for you! We have a multi-layered team that supports outpatients, ED, Inpatient, procedures, OR and Portable scans. Our team has a good mix of technologists who have been with our team for upwards of 10 to 20 years and new to the field in the last 1 to 5 years! We also enjoy sharing our profession/craft with our partners in School of Radiology, Lab, Radiation Oncology teams and even frequent the nearby High Schools/Middle Schools!

Requirements

  • Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required.
  • Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire/transfer.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred.
  • Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.
  • 1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.
