Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.
  • ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT registry within 6 months of hire date.
  • CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired. CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date.
  • ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required or certified by a CNMT program. ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT registry within 6 months of hire date. CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained. CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date.
  • CPR or BLS Required.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT exams using established protocols, including contrast administration.
  • Operate sophisticated imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, and document image data with precision.
  • Ensure accurate coding, tracking, and archiving of all studies in RIS and ISITE systems.
  • Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast following physician orders and department policies, with appropriate patient-risk assessment.
  • Use independent judgment to adjust protocols and apply ionizing radiation safely and effectively.
  • Review patient history, assess physician orders, and document relevant information in the electronic record.
  • Demonstrate proper venipuncture technique and safe use of power injectors.
