Location: Altru Hospital 1200 South Columbia Road Grand Forks, ND 58201 Pay Range: $29.19 - $43.79 Summary: ✔ Salary range: $29.19 - $43.79 USD Hourly ✔ Evening shift premium pay ✔ $15,000 Sign on Bonus or Educational Sponsorship available ✔ Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates ✔ A comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) match and a lifestyle spending allowance of $300 ✔ Open to new graduates of a school of Radiologic Technology Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 3:00-11:00pm The CT Technologist assures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam performance and collects pertinent information. The CT Technologist reviews exams on the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checking for quality and completeness, and completes all necessary paperwork. The technologist demonstrates regard for patient's safety and comfort. Making a real difference. For one another. Requirements

  • Radiographer | North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners | Prior to Start Date | HR Primary Sources
  • Radiographer | American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) | Within 6 Months of Start Date | HR Primary Sources
  • Computed Tomography | American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) | Within 24 Months of Start Date | HR Primary Sources
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 Days of Start Date | Learning Management System
  • This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provides the patient and family with appropriate education to optimize their understanding within scope of responsibility.
  • Assures that a proper order is received prior to an exam performance and collects pertinent information prior to performing exam.
  • Assists the Radiologist/physician with patient exams and notifies them of changes to the patient that may alter exam protocol and performance.
  • Reviews images for quality and completeness.
  • Verifies that all images are on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) with appropriate paperwork scanned in and distributes exam for interpretation to appropriate radiologist at completion of exam.
  • Demonstrates regard for patients' safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization, and positioning of patient.
  • Prepares pharmaceutical vials for injection, calculates and measures dosage accurately, and administers orally or by intravenous injection (IV) the correct diagnostic or therapeutic dosage and completes all required records.
  • Maintains accurate and complete record of all material received, dispensed, decayed and disposed of.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
