About The Position

Produces high quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments. Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology. Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Ensures high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths. Perform other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care. This is a dual-modality role with staff working between General Radiology and CT modalities, and is a rare opportunity to have hands on care and imaging for a patient visit in multiple modalities. General Radiology responsibilities include X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Surgical Services, and Bone Density Imaging. This position is split between the two modalities, but a great opportunity to learn and become efficient in both roles. Requirements

  • Requires a graduate of an accredited radiography program
  • Organized, efficient and multifunctional
  • Ability to work independently
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication
  • Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends
  • ARRT certified in Radiography
  • ARRT certified in CT within 18 months of hire or 24 months for Critical Access Hospital, Per Diem, or Supplemental employees
  • Appropriate state licensure from the state in which the candidate practices (if the state requires licensure)
  • BLS certified

Nice To Haves

  • Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist experience preferred
  • Additional certifications may be required and determined by Radiology leadership
