The CT Technologist operates computerized tomography (CT) to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies. This role elects appropriate imaging techniques, operates console, and peripheral hardware. The person in this position is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of patient care. CT Technologist Overview Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performs CT exams per physician orders or as advised by radiologist Works alongside other health team providers including physicians, residents, fellow, nurses, radiologists and other ancillary staff to provide effective, efficient quality service/care and follow standard protocols to complement interpretation and diagnosis Reports statistically significant findings to radiologists/residents/referring physicians as necessary to patient care Demonstrates ability to provide applicable care/service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served Modifies and individualizes care/service plan to meet patient/customer needs Provides patient/employee education based on assessment of learning needs of learner
