About The Position

Essentia Health in Fargo, ND, is seeking a CT Technologist to join their dedicated care team. Essentia Health–Fargo is a 133-bed regional medical center that includes a birthing center, a 10-bed newborn intensive care unit, and a 24/7 emergency department. It is recognized as a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, providing advanced, life-saving care. The facility is located in the heart of Fargo and is connected to the Essentia Health–32nd Avenue Clinic, aiming to provide seamless, compassionate care. In this role, the CT Technologist is responsible for administering ionizing radiation to patients of all ages (infant through adult) for diagnostic, therapeutic, and research purposes. This involves utilizing advanced computer-assisted, digital image recording, and analysis systems. The technologist will also assist radiologists with interventional and biopsy procedures, ensuring optimal patient care through established and accepted techniques. The position requires demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary for effective and age-appropriate patient interaction.

Requirements

Must be registered in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) within two years of hire/transfer to the position.
If North Dakota, must have current license on the North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire.

Responsibilities

Administer ionizing radiation to humans (age infant through adult) for diagnostic, therapeutic procedures, and/or research purposes.
Utilize advanced aspects of computer assisted, digital image recording, and analysis systems.
Assist radiologists with interventional and biopsy procedures.
Provide optimal patient care utilizing established and accepted techniques.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to interact with patients in a way that is effective and appropriate to the age of the involved patient population.
