About The Position

The Computed Tomography – Radiologic Technologist, under the supervision of the Radiologist, is required to perform routine CT procedures and invasive CT procedures as governed by the Radiologist. The Technologist must be knowledgeable of cross-sectional anatomy and the physics of Computed Tomography. The Technologist must be proficient in general diagnostic radiographic procedures, as needed. The Technologist must exhibit expertise in patient care based on the patient’s needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient. The Technologist must utilize good public relations and decision-making skills to incorporate patient education and professionalism and adhere to the commitment to quality exhibited by the facility. General Responsibilities: Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical, or employment status of patients at Bradley Medical Center and their families. Must follow accepted safety practices for patients and the hospital. Participate in Performance Improvement activities as required by JCAHO. Communicate in an acceptable and easily understood manner. Educates and adheres to the Patient Bill of Rights Produce computerized computer tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed by a physician.

Requirements

  • Graduate of approved school in Radiologic Technology as evidenced by verification of ARRT database.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. If not registered in CT upon hire, then must obtain registry within 18 months of hire.
  • BLS required.

Nice To Haves

  • CT Registry preferred as evidenced by verification of ARRT database.
  • One-year CT experience is preferred.
