As a CT Technologist, you will produce cross-section images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of various medical issues. Utilizing your advanced training and knowledge, you will accurately interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the equipment and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. This role is critical in the overall treatment of our patients, making you an invaluable asset to the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) variable shifts with on-call requirements. Must live within one hour of Euclid Hospital.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
  • Current state licensure (RL) prior to employment
  • Certification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Responsibilities

  • Acquire patients chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
  • Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain all aspects of the CT area including the technical and clerical components to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation.
