About The Position
A full-service acute care hospital in the Pensacola area is seeking a CT Technologist to support imaging services at its main campus and affiliated Free-Standing Emergency Departments (FSEDs). The organization is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care through advanced diagnostic imaging and emergency services. This role supports fast-paced emergency environments and delivers critical imaging services to diverse patient populations. Position Summary Under the direction of a Radiologist, the CT Technologist performs CT and radiologic procedures requiring independent judgment, technical expertise, and a strong focus on patient safety. The technologist safely applies ionizing radiation and delivers high-quality imaging services to patients ranging from neonates to geriatric populations.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
- Acute care experience required for Free-Standing Emergency Department assignments
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist required
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- ARRT (R) and (CT) certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform CT and radiologic imaging procedures with minimal supervision
- Apply independent judgment and initiative in imaging execution
- Ensure safe and accurate administration of ionizing radiation
- Maintain responsibility for assigned imaging areas and equipment
- Provide patient-centered care with a focus on safety and quality outcomes
- Accurately document procedures and communicate effectively with the radiology team
