About The Position

SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking a reliable CT Technologist to work full time for SJS Executives supporting ongoing facilities operations at a local Hospital in Iowa City, IA. We are a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 250 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; we specialize in professional services to support federal and military organizations. The salary range for this position will be based on experience. The position also includes, on-call and call-back pay.

Requirements

  • In accordance with federal regulations, possession of a valid Real ID is a requirement for this position.
  • Completion of a full-time diagnostic radiologic technology training program of at least 24 months in duration (or equivalent).
  • Program must be accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or another accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE).
  • Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must satisfy all additional federal, VA, and facility-specific credentialing requirements.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, including routine quality control checks and reporting malfunctions.
  • Apply radiation safety principles and ensure compliance with ALARA standards to minimize patient and staff exposure.
  • Verify patient identity, review clinical history, and confirm exam appropriateness prior to imaging.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records and radiology information systems.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to support patient care.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to emergent situations.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging suites and equipment.
