Requirements

  • RT (R),(CT), (ARRT), and BLS certifications, and state licensure where necessary.
  • Must have the ability to function as a CT Technologist performing examinations of patients of all ages
  • Roshal’s CT Technologists are responsible for coordinating and completing daily procedures, including prioritizing the sequence of operations, completing the exam, and following through with all the necessary paperwork with minimal supervision, requiring independent judgment.
  • Demonstrates competency in PACS process and performs daily QA process.
  • Effective communication skills and excellent patient care skills required.
  • Functions proficiently with all technical equipment in diagnostic modality.
  • Properly uses radiation protection and shielding material to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.
  • Must be able to pass all necessary health requirements for hospital employment, including drug screening and background check.
  • Conduct and document High-Level Disinfection (HLD) procedures with precision

Responsibilities

  • CT examinations and procedures that require the use of contrast agents.
  • Managing patients during complex procedure exams.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.
  • Scan in and label documents appropriately and ensure images are released to radiologists promptly.
  • Follow all radiation protection and dose reporting policies and processes.
  • Assist other technologists when necessary to maintain productivity.
  • Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
