About The Position

A healthcare organization is seeking a CT Technologist to support diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced radiology department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, patient care skills, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Ability to perform CT procedures following established imaging protocols
• Strong patient assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• BLS (AHA)
• New York State Radiologic Technologist License (LRT)
• ARRT (Radiography) with current CT certification

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
• Conduct daily quality control and calibration checks to verify equipment functionality prior to patient studies
• Administer contrast and radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders and established protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation, including logs, manuals, charge forms, and incident reports in compliance with regulatory standards
• Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety testing in accordance with departmental policies
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles
• Maintain, retrieve, and manage patient imaging data for radiologist interpretation
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses in advance of scheduled procedures
• Verify receipt, dosage, and activity levels of radiopharmaceuticals prior to administration
• Exercise clinical judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after imaging procedures
