About The Position
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires strong technical expertise, patient care skills, and adherence to safety and imaging protocols.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license
- Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in CT (required)
- Minimum 2–3 years of CT experience
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure image quality and accuracy for diagnostic interpretation.
- Maintain patient safety, including radiation protection standards.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions.
- Document imaging procedures using systems such as Epic Systems .
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams.
