About The Position

Phy Data LLC seeks full time CT tech for Nashville TN office and clinics in surrounding areas. Perform computed tomography procedures to produce imaging to assist physicians in formulating medical diagnoses. Document clinically appropriate results for physician and records in accordance with diagnostic division policy and procedure manual. Perform X-Ray and Bone Density scans. Cross train in Mammography and/or MRI, based on team needs. Knowledge of startup procedures, calibration of equipment, and troubleshooting. Use hard-copy devices, film-processing equipment, written and/or other recorded formats and archiving. Comply with radiation safety protocol to provide safe environment for patients and staff; inquire if females of childbearing age are pregnant. Inspect radiation protection devices semi-annually under fluoroscopy CT or by plain film. Modify approach to patient care based upon age. Consider cognitive states in patient education. Adhere to established facility/departmental safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Assess for FDA approval for age groups and specific dosing of contrast media. This is an in-person role where the employee may be assigned to any one of our multiple locations within a commutable distance form our main Nashville TN location.

Requirements

  • Must have at least a two-year certification in Radiologic Sciences or related field or foreign equivalent plus at least two years of experience in venipuncture, aseptic technique, universal precautions and documentation, contrast administration, and use of power injector.
  • Licensure as Medical X-Ray Operator in State of Tennessee and current registration with American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required.
