About The Position

Are you ready to stop working on-call, mandatory overtime and overnight? Come join us in outpatient imaging as a CT Technologist! Sign on bonus offered! Schedule: Monday to Friday daytime hours. One evening until 7 pm and one Saturday a month from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Location: Moorestown, NJ Perform CT examinations as ordered and accurately critique images to ensure diagnostic quality. Choose appropriate protocol and technical factors according to age, size and symptoms of patient Provide thorough explanation of procedure to the patient, anticipating and responding to patients’ needs and questions Position patients appropriately for ordered exam and assist patients on/off examination table as needed. Obtain consent for administration of IV contrast and follow established practices to provide treatment, documentation and follow-up in the case of any adverse effects of IV contrast administration Perform venipuncture for administration of IV contrast Prepare and administer contrast media according to established practices Utilize scanner within manufacture guidelines and take appropriate action for service as needed Utilize PACS and RIS for image processing and accurate documentation Maintain clear and safe environment, which includes preparing room for each patient Perform daily and monthly QA procedures on scanner Follow ALARA principles, Image Gently and Image Wisely to insure safe radiation practices. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Current, valid New Jersey license is required
Graduate of approved program for Radiological Technology
ARRT and CT Registry required
Current BLS/CPR training
CT scanner operation and training
CT anatomy and knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to perform venipunctures
Knowledge of operation system of CT scanner, RIS and PACS
Basic proficiency with computer monitors, keyboard and mouse for scanning, RIS and PACS use

Responsibilities

Perform CT examinations as ordered and accurately critique images to ensure diagnostic quality.
