Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.
  • ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT registry within 6 months of hire date.
  • CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired.
  • CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date.
  • ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required or certified by a CNMT program.
  • ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT registry within 6 months of hire date.
  • CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
  • CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date.
  • CPR or BLS Required.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures using advanced imaging technology and established scan protocols, including contrast administration.
  • Review patient histories, assess orders, and document procedures accurately in the electronic record.
  • Operate and troubleshoot complex imaging equipment, ensuring all exams are properly coded, archived, and billed.
  • Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders while assessing patients for risk factors.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in adjusting protocols and applying ionizing radiation safely and effectively.
  • Provide compassionate care—communicating clearly, ensuring comfort, and maintaining patient dignity at all times.
