About The Position

This Full time position will be a combination of every other weekend and a few evenings a week covering both Eagan and Golden Valley. Weekend hours will be 7:30a-10:30p in Golden Valley, while weekday hours will be 2:30-10:00 in Eagan. Week 1: Monday pm, Tuesday pm, Saturday full day Week 2: Sunday full day, Wednesday pm, Thursday pm, Friday pm Week 3: Monday pm, Tuesday pm, Saturday full day Week 4: Sunday full day, Wednesday pm, Thursday pm, Friday pm Midwest Radiology is also offering a one-time bonus of $5,000 to be earned and paid upon successful completion of one year of employment. JOB TITLE: Imaging Technologist - CT/XR LOCATION OR DEPARTMENT: The Urgency Room - Golden Valley EXEMPT STATUS/GRADE: Non-Exempt/Step Scale REPORTS TO: Manager SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None. SUMMARY OF POSITION: Perform CT exams, XR exams and procedures according to established protocols to provide quality images and patient care.

Requirements

  • RT (R) (CT) required within one year of employment
  • 3-6 months general x-ray experience preferred.
  • 6-12 months CT experience preferred.
  • IV and power contrast injector experience preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of basic radiologic principles, procedures, methods and techniques required.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology required.
  • Excellent patient care, problem solving, organizational, communication and technical skills required.
  • Ability to work independently, in a team, and with all levels of the organization required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety-related work behaviors to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Competent in using a computer keyboard, email, Imagecast and PACS or similar applications.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-6 months general x-ray experience preferred.
  • 6-12 months CT experience preferred.
  • IV and power contrast injector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT/XR exams and assist physician in invasive procedures in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness within the department time standards for routine exams.
  • Obtain patient history, answer questions, and provide the patient with information about the exam and/or procedure so they are comfortable and thoroughly understand it.
  • Work with the radiologists, referring clinics and/or patients to ensure the appropriate exams, films and medical records are correct and prepared for the exam.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is accurate and complete for the radiologist, referring clinic and the patient’s medical records.
  • Incorporate company values into daily interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Other duties may include, but are not limited to, training new employees, stocking and/or ordering department supplies and assisting in other departments.
