About The Position

Main Function: The CT Technologist performs CT scan examinations and coordinates patient flow and CT scanner activities to ensure timely, safe, and accurate imaging. This position also performs X-ray imaging for inpatients, outpatients, Emergency Department, and Operating Room patients, working closely with physicians and clinical teams to support high-quality patient care. Requirements

• Valid State of Connecticut license.
• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography and Radiography (CT, R).
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years CT experience required.
• Proficiency in venipuncture and IV placement required.
• Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-ray examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and flow to maximize efficiency.
• Operate imaging equipment and perform quality control checks to ensure optimal image quality.
• Administer contrast media, perform venipuncture, and place IV lines as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all regulatory and safety standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to support patient care.
