About The Position
The estimated base pay for this position is $45.75 to $68.57. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. Differential detail: Evening Shift Differential: $0.90/hour Night Shift Differential: $2.00/hour Located in Templeton amongst the oak trees, Adventist Health Twin Cities has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. Comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility, our team provides exceptional care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical and outpatient services. Job Summary: Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required
- ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
- Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Preferred
- Venipuncture certification: Preferred
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
- Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
- Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
- Maintains accurate records, files and billing information.
- Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
- Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
