About The Position

The CT Technologist position is a full-time role requiring 40 hours of work on the evening shift. The technologist will perform computerized tomography procedures as prescribed by a physician, ensuring the general care and safety of patients during these diagnostic procedures. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered for full-time employees, and cross-training is available in CT and IR.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of a formal program in Radiology Technology in a JRCERT approved school.
  • Must be registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current Advanced certification in Computerized Tomography or must complete Advanced registry within one year of the hire date.
  • ARRT and CT certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • ARRT certification with two years as a registered technologist.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 1 year experience in CT.

Responsibilities

  • Completes all necessary work sheets, patient records, and documentation.
  • Processes scans and related functions as needed.
  • Assists Radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
  • Administers intravenous contrast media, including utilization of power injectors.
  • Monitors patients for possible reactions and provides immediate care if a reaction occurs.
  • Performs a wide range of computerized tomography procedures.
  • Operates CT equipment, power injectors, PACS, RIS system, and processes films.
  • Assists physician in performing procedures in the procedure room.
  • Maintains professional and ethical relationships with all customers to preserve optimal quality of care.
  • Provides on-call coverage as needed in the Computerized Tomography area.
  • Performs general nursing duties consistent with meeting the needs of the patient if needed.
  • Performs clerical duties related to patient chart documentation, radiology files, billing, and processing of images into PACS and conventional filming.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, the Trinity Health Organizational Integrity Program, including the Standards of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and other policies and procedures.
