About The Position

The CT Technologist, under the direction of a radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. The CT Technologist will provide services timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in special procedures for a radiologic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent, while providing radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards. The CT Technologist will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Radiology Department's Policy and Procedures Manual; will assist in assigned administrative tasks and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs. He/she will also participate in the clinical activities, including call, within the outlined department.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Montana Radiologic Technologist certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Registered Technologist - Radiography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
• National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography certification or National Computed Tomography Technologist certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board within 1 year of hire.
