About The Position

It's more than a career, it's a calling. The position is for a CT Technologist at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. The role involves performing computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. The position requires the performance of at least 3 specific procedures such as biopsy, TAVR, coronary, watchman, extremity work for OR planning, ablations, or fiducial placement. The job is scheduled for weekends and offers a sign-on bonus of $15,000 paid in full on the first paycheck.

Requirements

• Completion of Radiology program.
• ARRT-R credential.
• ARRT-CT within 12 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity.
• Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
