About The Position

This is a part time position at 24 hours per week located at Lake Forest Hospital. This role is a part of the Weekend Program and offers premium pay on top of base pay. Schedule for this role is 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10:00PM -10:30AM. Holidays required when applicable. A $3,000 sign on bonus is being offered for this position. Requirements

• ARRT
• IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety
• BLS through American Heart Association
• 2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• ARRT registry in CT or MRI
• 1 year experience.

Responsibilities

• Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table.
• Administers contrast media oral and/or IV contrast in accordance with department policies and procedures, patient history indicators, exam protocols and physician orders and follows through with post exam instructions.
• Enters data such as type of scan, slice thickness, scan time and other technical data into computer.
• Communicates with patient before and during procedure; monitors safety, comfort.
• Views images of organs or tissue on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; produces radiographs.
• Performs CT equipment QA and maintains required logs.
• Performs clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling patients, and recordkeeping.
• Maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as needed.
