About The Position

The CT Technologist provides direct patient care by applying the skill of diagnostic imaging utilizing CT scanning equipment. They will assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic CT scans. The position is located at Memorial Regional Medical Center and involves shifts from 11:00 AM to 3:00 AM, with two 16-hour shifts. Candidates accepting a full-time offer of employment may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $20K, with specific rules and restrictions applying. Internal BSMH associates are not eligible for sign-on bonuses.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred)
• BLS Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association (required)
• Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required)
• Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred, or must obtain within 2 years)
• State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
• 1 year of experience as a CT or Rad Tech (preferred)
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
• Experience with Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) (preferred)

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a CT or Rad Tech (preferred)
• Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred)
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Confirm that all pertinent patient and procedural data is correct.
• Perform computed tomography procedures.
• Properly position and immobilize patients on CT scanning cradles.
• Make radiation exposures by energizing the scanner.
• Perform intravenous injections and administer oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contrast agents specific to procedures.
• Assist the radiologist with biopsies and drainage procedures.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
• Participate in on-call rotation and timeout as required.
