Requirements

  • Certificate Radiology
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Radiography (ARRT-R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Indiana required within 180 Days of Hire
  • Radiography (ARRT-R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Illinois required within 1 Year of Hire
  • Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 1 Year of Hire

Responsibilities

  • Clean, maintain, and restock examination rooms and CT inventory areas
  • Collaborate with physicians regarding patient medical conditions to determine appropriate imaging protocols and procedures
  • Perform all CT examinations and procedures, producing optimal images for physician interpretation while processing and evaluating images according to established policies and protocols
  • Verify patient identity; obtain and accurately document patient identification, medical history, and relevant test results
  • Review, update, and maintain patient records within EMR and PACS systems
  • Perform venipuncture using universal precautions and safely administer contrast media
  • Adhere to established safety guidelines and apply ALARA radiation-reduction principles and techniques
