Requirements

Certificate Radiology
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
Radiography (ARRT-R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Indiana required within 180 Days of Hire
Radiography (ARRT-R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Illinois required within 1 Year of Hire
Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 1 Year of Hire

Responsibilities

Clean, maintain, and restock examination rooms and CT inventory areas
Collaborate with physicians regarding patient medical conditions to determine appropriate imaging protocols and procedures
Perform all CT examinations and procedures, producing optimal images for physician interpretation while processing and evaluating images according to established policies and protocols
Verify patient identity; obtain and accurately document patient identification, medical history, and relevant test results
Review, update, and maintain patient records within EMR and PACS systems
Perform venipuncture using universal precautions and safely administer contrast media
Adhere to established safety guidelines and apply ALARA radiation-reduction principles and techniques
