This full-time position involves working in a department that has state-of-the-art equipment, including one of the only dual energy CT scanners in the region. Our practice includes Cardiac, Trauma, Oncology, Neurology, and CT/IR procedures, working with both outpatients and inpatients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school or JCERT accredited program.
  • Computerized Tomography (CT) training or experience preferred.
  • ARRT certification is required at the time of hire.
  • CT certification obtained within two years is preferred.
  • Licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board is required if working in North Dakota.
  • CT certification is required within 24 months of hire if working in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
  • Permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health is required if working in Iowa.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and I.V. certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan images.
  • Produces quality computed tomography exam images and exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures.
  • Provides for patient care and initiates life support measures as necessary.
  • Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and healthcare workers.
  • Operates CT equipment to produce quality CT scans and performs related procedures and protocols.
  • Learns and utilizes new technology and orients new employees.
  • Obtains information from patients or their responsible parties to improve personalized treatment and care.
  • Works well with all age groups.
  • May perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures.
