The Multi-Modality Technologist 2 performs duties related to two modalities, which may include performing procedures with related techniques, and/or producing images for the interpretation by, and at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Associate's Degree (preferred) from an ARRT accredited institute or approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or approved School of Ultrasound/Medical Sonography.
  • Certification and Registration with ARRT, RDMS, CNMT, CCI, or ARDMS (required).
  • Required to be competent or registered in 2 of the specified modalities and obtain certification within 12 months.
  • BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire).
  • 1 year of experience in healthcare environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties for two modalities within the imaging and/or cardiovascular technology job families.
  • Meets continuing education or clinical requirements as required by regulatory standards.
  • Operates equipment, accessories and is knowledgeable in workflows, procedures and processes of two modalities.
  • When appropriate, selects imaging/sequences with consideration given to approved protocols and other factors influencing data acquisition parameters.
  • Obtains patient's clinical history and appropriate lab work ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
  • Applies safety principles with a focus on the two modalities to minimize risk to patient, self and others.
