About The Position

The CT Technologist at Sharp Rees-Stealy North Mira Mesa is responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures with a focus on quality patient care, assisting physicians as needed. This position is part-time and requires variable shift hours, including weekend availability as needed. The hourly pay range for this position is between $52.950 and $83.690, depending on various factors such as experience and skills.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school.
• 1 Year Dedicated CT experience.
• Certified Computed Tomography (CT) (ARRT) - ARRT - REQUIRED.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED.
• Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit - CA Department of Public Health - REQUIRED.
• IV Certification (NPTA Sterile Product Certification) - REQUIRED.
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - CA Department of Public Health - REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of technical procedures with quality patient care.
• Assist physicians as needed during procedures.
• Communicate pertinent system issues to the Lead/Supervisor/PACS Manager/Systems Analyst or vendor.
• Maintain department regulatory requirements and verify physician orders.
• Accurately complete exams in RIS in real-time.
• Ensure all exams have been completed in RIS and confirm images are sent to PACS.
• Provide pre and post procedure education to patients and families.
• Maintain AM/PM temperature logs and perform daily QC as required.
• Verify patient identification and pregnancy status using double identifiers.
• Assist in the training of new hire employees and cross-training of existing employees.
