About The Position

As a CT Technologist at UNC Health Appalachian, you'll use advanced imaging technology and compassionate patient interaction to deliver high-quality CT scans that support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Schedule: Full-time, variable shifts; nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations required. Requirements

Graduate of an AMA-accredited radiologic sciences program.
Applicable registry credential required; R-CT preferred.
Clinical imaging experience gained through an AMA-accredited training program.
Ability to complete the CT Technologist Level II orientation program.
CT registry required within two years of achieving Level II competency.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required at hire.
Strong communication skills and ability to provide patient-centered care.
Proficiency in radiation safety, imaging protocols, and equipment operation.
Ability to deliver safe, accurate imaging within licensure and hospital policies.
Excellent customer service and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

One year of diagnostic radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality CT examinations using established imaging protocols and clinical judgment.
Ensure patient safety through proper identification, positioning, shielding, and adherence to radiation safety standards.
Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain CT scanners and associated equipment.
Document procedures, enter exam details, and maintain accurate records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Partner with radiologists and clinical staff to support timely imaging and accurate interpretation.
Provide clear instructions and compassionate support to patients throughout imaging procedures.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
