Requirements

• Associates degree or Graduate of a Technical School.
• 1 position related experience.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (RT).
• Florida State Licensure CRT.
• Basic Life Support - CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT radiologic procedures under the direction of the Radiologist and a Preceptor.
• Exercise independent judgment and initiative to perform CT procedures and appropriate protocols for diagnosis.
• Assist in Interventional Radiology procedures with CT guidance.
• Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
• Assist in X-ray in addition to CT to meet department needs.
• Obtain ARRT(CT) credential within 12 months of starting this role.
• Work under the supervision of a credentialed CT or experienced CT technologist.
• Rotate on-call status.
• Contact vendor service engineer for assistance when system problems arise.
• Perform other related duties as required and deemed necessary by Supervisor.
• Follow AdventHealth service standards.
• Maintain ethical relationships and cooperate with all personnel in proper conduct of department.
• Incorporate patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action.
• Transfer and position patients, including lifting of patients as necessary.
• Initiate and assist in Code Blue procedures if called.
